 The Corning Museum Association was founded in 1990 by a group of individuals that wanted to preserve Corning's history and present it to the public. The museum shares space with the Corning Chamber of Commerce and is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, and closed for lunch.

RODGER'S THEATER

 Rodger's Theatre opened on August 10, 1935, by Frank and Mary Rodgers. The sons, Wealthy and Dan ran the theater until 1988 when they closed it. The Rodgers family deeded the theater to the City of Corning in 1991 and the City reopened it but again it was closed in 2006 for safety reasons. Renovation is taking place now with hopes of opening again as a performing arts/multipurpose center.

The park offers nature walks, picknicking and swimming along the banks of the Sacramento River. Locally famous as the destination for canoers, rafters and inner-tubers, who put in up river at Los Molinos or Red Bluff. Fishermen out for shad, striped bass, catfish or salmon can launch their boats south of the bridge.
